Strength & Stretch

In this unique and fun class, you will be introduced to lifting weights for healthy aging. There are countless benefits to strength training, including maintaining and increasing both muscle mass and bone density. Each week we will focus on full body mobility and then move on to specific strength skills. Experience getting stronger in a mindful way, with little yoga flows and awesome stretches peppered throughout.

Students can expect to get up and down off of the floor (chairs can be provided for assistance), and using weights and resistance bands. The pace is average and the focus is strength and mobility. Previous experience with yoga is not required. Effort in this class is medium to strong.
