Deep Rest & Sound

This gentle mindful movement practice invites you to cultivate a deep connection to your body’s internal landscape. Slowing down and moving with your breath, as you discover and explore the unique shapes and forms available to your body. Moving with ease, and within ranges that are comfortable and accessible to you, while noticing and honouring any thoughts, feelings or sensations that emerge along the way.

The meditative body movement practice is followed by deep rest and relaxation, which includes a restorative component, soul-nourishing sound (ocean drum, deep gong and chimes) and a silent savasana.

You can anticipate to experience standing, bending, twisting, sitting, kneeling, working from a quadruped position, some weight bearing on the wrists and laying down on the floor. Props may include blankets, cork and foam blocks, straps, bolsters and chairs.

Please wear something comfortable that you can easily move and relax in.

Yoga props are provided in studio; however, you may wish to bring any personal yoga props you might like to use, a yoga mat and some water. Your favourite blanket and pillow, and an eye pillow are quite welcome to help enhance your comfort during deep rest and relaxation.

This offering is not included in memberships or packages. A fee of $40 is required at registration.
