Black Friday Sale and a short practice
Wildflower Yoga | NOV 24, 2022
Hello earthlings,
We have decided to jump on the bandwagon and offer 30% off 5 and 10 times passes to make them even more affordable. Just go to my website www.jennvanderland.com and use the code BLACKFRIDAY and voila! Savings for you. These passes are good to use for my classes or for Sharyl's classes. Find our schedules at www.wildfloweryoga.ca
We want to make sure that everyone feels safe to practice in our little studio, so we have made the following changes for the winter;
*max of 6 students per class (please make sure you sign up online)
*HEPA filter that cleans the air constantly
*Not coming in when we are sick
*ONLINE and IN-PERSON options! You can join me from anywhere!
Now that that's out of the way, how are you? How is your heart? How is your body? This is the season of busy, which is funny because winter is a time of withdrawing and moving inward. Our bodies want us to slow down and be present with the changing seasons and the lack of light, yet we are called to do so much. I find myself wanting to be home more, burn more candles, and eat warm food. I don't know if I have always been this way, but certainly the last two years have changed me.
How are you honouring the season, and the diminished light?
I want to share with you a short practice (click on the pink words) that I have been practicing this week after long walks with my dog. It's really just for fun, so be curious and gentle with yourself, as always.
If you find joy in movement you are more likely to do it, so find ways to move that bring you joy and deepen your curiosity. A friend of mine shared with me this week that she loves doing deep water workouts, that it makes her 8 year old self so happy and she feels free in the water. That really struck me. This is where we find those pockets of joy.
If you are feeling lost or sad, I see you. If you are feeling like you are just not enough, I see you. If this season is bringing up feelings that you are not sure what to do with, I see you. Our society is not set up for belonging. We have been told for so long that we need to do everything ourselves and not burden others. I don't have the answers but I know that we can create a better world, we can dream it into being. What does a better, more equitable, less exhausting world look like for you? Can you make one step towards that?
To finding pockets of Joy,
Be well,
XO
Jenn
